Common Question – How much child support will I pay or receive?
Massachusetts, like all states, is federally mandated to establish child support guidelines. These guidelines take into account several factors, most importantly gross income and number of children, and then establish a child support amount.
The guidelines can be adjusted; a common example would be for a non-custodial parent having several overnight visits per week.
